Two places do most of the heavy lifting from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and once you understand which one runs which nights, the season stops feeling like a scroll of disconnected event listings and starts feeling like a rhythm you can actually plan around.
Call them the two axes. Central Park after dark, anchored by the amphitheater everyone in town has learned to call The ChAmp. And Chesterfield Valley in daylight and at dusk, where the flat sightlines and the parking capacity let events sprawl in ways the park cannot. Knowing which axis owns which weekend is the difference between a good Saturday and a great one.
The Central Park Axis
